About our women's lacrosse kilts

The kilt is the defining piece of a women's lacrosse uniform, and the one most often made badly: pleats that open up in play, a separate under-short that shifts, or a fit taken from a waist chart that leaves the whole team re-ordering.

Ours is built with an inner short attached rather than supplied as a separate two-piece, so there is nothing to shift or go missing. The pleats are stitched down through the hip, which stops them opening as a player runs, cuts and checks.

It is sized on hip rather than waist, the most reliable way to get a roster's fit right first time, and cut on a women's block with youth as its own pattern. The kilt is sublimated to match your top, and sold on its own or as part of our women's game uniform (LX-002).

What goes into it

  • Inner short attached, not a separate piece
  • Pleats stitched down through the hip
  • Sized on hip, not waist
  • Women's block, with youth on a separate pattern
  • Sublimated to match your game top

How it can be decorated

Kilts are sublimated from the same artwork as the game top, so plaid, stripes or a solid color match the rest of the uniform exactly.

Dye sublimation

Dye sublimation

Graphics printed into the fiber rather than onto it, so there is nothing to crack, peel or add weight. Full bleed, unlimited colors.

Needs 80% polyester or more

Screen printing

Screen printing

Plastisol and water-based inks for flat, dense color that survives a full season of washing.

Up to 12 colors

Cut-and-sew panelling

Cut-and-sew panelling

Color blocking built into the pattern instead of applied on top of a blank, so the seams follow your design.

Any panel count

Questions about women's lacrosse kilts

For custom lacrosse uniforms in general, see the questions on the sport page.

Why are kilts sized on hip?

Because the hip is what a pleated kilt has to clear. Ordering by waist is the most common source of fit complaints in the women's game; a hip measurement for each player gets it right first time.

Can we order a few kilts as replacements?

Yes. There is no minimum, so a handful of kilts for new players is priced at the 1-20 rate and sublimated to match your existing tops.
